Nominations Open for the 2026 Queensland Training Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Queensland Training Awards, recognising excellence, innovation and impact across Queensland’s vocational education and training sector.

The awards celebrate the individuals and organisations who are helping to build Queensland’s skilled workforce — including apprentices, trainees, vocational students, trainers, employers and community-based initiatives.

Across Mount Isa and North West Queensland, there are many individuals and organisations making significant contributions to workforce development, training and employment pathways.

The Mount Isa Regional Jobs Committee (RJC) encourages local employers, training providers, community organisations and industry partners to consider nominating someone from their organisation or network.

Award categories include:

• Apprentice of the Year
• Trainee of the Year
• Vocational Student of the Year
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year
• School-based Apprentice or Trainee of the Year
• Equity Student of the Year
• VET Teacher or Trainer of the Year
• Community Training Initiative of the Year
• Large Employer of the Year
• Small Employer of the Year
• Large Training Provider of the Year (State only)
• Small Training Provider of the Year (State only)
• Premier’s Industry Collaboration Award (State only)

These awards highlight the impact of training and skills development in supporting industries, strengthening regional economies and creating career opportunities across Queensland.

Nominations close 22 March 2026.
