About Us

Who We Are

The Mount Isa Regional Jobs Committee (RJC) is a locally driven initiative focused on creating real, lasting change for our workforce. Backed by the Mount Isa City Council (MICC) and the Queensland Government, we’re here to connect people, industry and training opportunities—building a stronger future for our region.

We listen to our community. We understand our local challenges. And we work together to deliver smart, practical solutions that improve skills, boost employment and support economic growth.

Our Mission

To identify workforce challenges in the Mount Isa Local Government Area (LGA) and deliver targeted, local solutions that improve training, skilling and job outcomes—now and into the future.

Our Values

We are guided by values that reflect our commitment to community, progress and impact:

  • Locals First – We’re built by the region, for the region.

  • Inclusive & Accessible – Everyone deserves a seat and voice at the table.

  • Collaborative – Strong partnerships drive strong outcomes.

  • Future-Focused – We plan for tomorrow, not just today.

  • Impact-Driven – Real actions, real results.
