Bronwyn Hetherington is a member of the Mount Isa Regional Jobs Committee, representing the Health Sector through her role with Gidgee Healing as Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Program Coordinator and Suicide Prevention Program Coordinator. Bronwyn brings extensive experience across nursing, practice management, mental health, suicide prevention and community services, with a strong focus on supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, families and communities across the Gulf and North West Queensland regions. Her work includes leadership and coordination of culturally safe wellbeing and suicide prevention programs, community outreach, stakeholder engagement, crisis response and service coordination. She works closely with schools, government agencies, health services and community organisations to strengthen wellbeing outcomes, improve service access and support long-term community resilience. Bronwyn also has strong experience in staff mentoring, multidisciplinary collaboration, community education and program development across regional and remote settings. Bronwyn holds qualifications in Nursing and Practice Management and has completed extensive professional development in mental health, suicide prevention, trauma-informed care, crisis response and cultural capability. She brings a strong combination of frontline experience, healthcare leadership and community engagement to RJC, with a commitment to practical, collaborative and community-driven workforce solutions that improve participation, wellbeing and opportunity across the region. |
