Iain Faithful

Iain Faithful is the Assistant Director, Engagement with the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA), bringing more than 20 years’ experience across community development, employment, training, health, social services and environmental programs. His career spans a broad range of initiatives aimed at improving community wellbeing, economic participation and long-term sustainability.

Iain has contributed to the design and delivery of employment and training programs, drug and alcohol rehabilitation initiatives, early learning and schooling support, and significant land and environmental management programs, including Native Title and Ranger initiatives. His work has consistently focused on ensuring programs are locally informed, community-led and deliver lasting benefits.

He brings strong capability across strategic and operational planning, program management, service improvement, governance, compliance and risk management. As a critical and systems thinker, Iain has deep knowledge of government employment programs and legislative frameworks, enabling him to support stakeholders to navigate complexity and translate policy intent into on-the-ground outcomes.

Iain holds qualifications in commerce, accounting, management, quality auditing and compliance. Through his role with NIAA, including the delivery of RAES, RJED and ISEP programs across North West Queensland, he plays a key role in connecting communities, organisations and government to build genuine partnerships that support regional workforce and economic development.
