Natasha Storey, RJC Project Manager and Secretariat

RJC Project Manager

Natasha Storey is the inaugural Project Manager and Secretariat for the Mount Isa Regional Jobs Committee (RJC), hosted by Mount Isa City Council. She brings extensive experience in community development, governance, systems change and government engagement, with a strong focus on place-based and community-driven solutions.

After working across federal and state government systems, Natasha transitioned into local government to support her home community of Mount Isa. Much of her career has focused on working alongside Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) and community leaders to strengthen participation, break cycles of disadvantage and support Closing the Gap outcomes. Her work is grounded in co-design, collective impact and practical implementation.

As RJC Project Manager, Natasha provides backbone support and secretariat leadership, enabling collaboration across industry, government, education and community sectors. She is responsible for governance, coordination and delivery of initiatives that align workforce development with regional priorities and community-identified needs.
Natasha brings a unique combination of lived local knowledge and broad cross-jurisdictional experience. While her formal qualifications are complemented by extensive on-the-job learning, she is recognised for her ability to navigate complex systems, build trust across sectors and translate strategy into action.

Her priorities as Project Manager are to strengthen governance, advocate for community needs, foster collaboration and influence systemic change that supports long-term workforce participation and regional prosperity for Mount Isa and the North West.
