Natasha Storey, RJC Project Manager and Secretariat
RJC Project Manager
Natasha Storey is the inaugural Project Manager for the Mount Isa Regional Jobs Committee (RJC), bringing a wealth of experience in community development, systems change and government engagement. A proud mother of three girls, Natasha is deeply passionate about education, empowerment and mentoring, with a strong belief in community-led design and solutions that address local challenges in meaningful, sustainable ways. Having worked extensively at the federal level before transitioning into local government for the first time, Natasha combines broad policy and program knowledge with grassroots, place-based experience. She has spent much of her career supporting Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) and driving initiatives that strengthen participation, break cycles of disadvantage and close the gap. Relocating back to Mount Isa, Natasha is committed to sharing her skills and knowledge with her hometown to create lasting impact. In her role, Natasha provides backbone support and secretariat leadership for the RJC, fostering collaboration across industry, government and community stakeholders. She is recognised for her expertise in co-design, collective impact and governance, ensuring that initiatives are place-based, community-driven and strategically aligned with regional development priorities. Natasha’s thematic areas of interest include aged care, alcohol and drugs, arts and media, early childhood, education, employment, families and family violence, healing and general health, housing, justice, language and culture, leadership, learning and development, mental health and wellbeing, mining and trades, youth, country/land management, and training. Her vision is clear: to strengthen governance, champion community voices and influence systemic change that empowers Mount Isa and the North West to grow, prosper and thrive. |
